====== Onboarding Guide ====== This guide will help you to get started with our lab's tools and procedures. Regardless if you've joined us as an x96 student or not, you should find this a good starting place to start contributing to our lab. ====== Everyone ====== These are things everyone should do when they come on board. - Make sure you have access to the following things: - Wiki - Slack - Google Calendar - Google Drive - Write a message on [[https://scel-hawaii.slack.com/messages/general/|Slack]] - say hello! - Create a [[https://www.linkedin.com/uas/login?session_redirect=https://www.linkedin.com/inbox/|LinkedIn profile]] if you don't already have one. - Create a [[https://github.com/ | Github profile ]] if you don't already have one. - Go through the [[training:your interests]] page and answer the questions. - Go through the [[training:introductory_reading|introduction readings]] and answer the questions. ====== All x96 students ====== - Put your weekly meeting time on the calendar (make sure you have access). - Follow the instructions [[tools:google_calendar|here]]. - Create a folder in the google drive for your team's documents. - Create a team channel on [[https://scel-hawaii.slack.com/messages/general/|Slack]]. - Click the plus button on the side bar next to “Channels”. - Insert your team name as your Channel name. - Invite others on your group and your mentor to the channel. - Sign up for x96 Funding. - If you have not done so yet, please contact Dr. Sasaki at galens@hawaii.edu to get access to the EE x96 Project Purchasing and Reimbursements Laulima page. - Please note that if you decide to purchase items on your own, you will need to save your receipts for reimbursement, and the reimbursement for the purchase will be taxed. - Read through the x96 syllabus section on the wiki - Go through the links and read them carefully ====== 196/296 Students ====== **Come up with a team name**\\ Please decide on a team name for your group. **Create a Wiki page for your team**\\ Have someone on your team create a wiki page for your group. - Go to: https://wiki.scel-hawaii.org/doku.php?id=weatherbox:start - Under the section “Prototype Sub-Teams” add another row to the table and fill in your team’s information. - Create your team name as a link to a new wiki page.
