  * Edited schematic
  * tried and failed to burn bootloader
  * cried
  * gave up
  * tried again
  * successfully burned bootloader by changing signature in C program so bootloader program could identify the 1284 as a 1284p.
  * tried compiling and failing
  * Eventually successfully compiled and loaded a program by changing the Clock mode to "FULL SWING" mode.

 

===== Issues =====
* Differing signature because bootloading program only supported 1284p and not 1284
* Clock wasn't in FULL SWING mode had to re-bootload with corrections to Clock's Low Fuse
