weatherbox:bumblebee:week_9_-_march_28_2021

Attended: Lauryn, Francis, Brian, Thiri, Yin

Updates

  • Traced & debug v4.1
    • identified and confirmed that we used the wrong capacitors - C4, C9, C10, C11 (used 10uF instead of 0.1uF)
  • Reorganized bumblebee inventory
  • Got help from professor Weldon (looked at Volt. reg. schematic for v4.1)
  • Identified that feedback is not connected to Vout
    • Cannot verify that capacitor 5 (C5) is connected to Vout (Schematic does not show that)
    • Adding the Jumper wire causes issues with C2 and C5
      • Suggested by manufacturer: use 1.0uF, 10uF and 8.2pF that is separated to have a different output freq. (looking at XBee Schematic)
      • instead we have C1 = 1.0uF, C15 = 18pF on our board
      • As reference:

To Do

  • Solder the correct capacitors for v4.1
  • Download Pspice
    • Stimulate voltage reg. and download library/parts
    • Stimulate ideal situation
    • Stimulate non-ideal situation to get close to 5V
      • Min value: 1/2x cap. value
      • Max Value: 2x Cap. value
  • Continue to trace/debug for any more problems
  • Create new/update schematic for new version of v4.1
  • Range test v4.0 w/o voltage reg. and compare
  • Test v4.0 w/ other hardware teams

Attended: Lauryn, Francis, Brian, Thiri, Yin

Updates

To Do

  • Continue design in pspice
  • Research on Many-to-One Network
  • Attempt to set up XBee as many-to-one network

Attended: Lauryn, Francis, Brian, Thiri, Yin

Updates

  • Worked on CDR presentation
  • Meeting up in lab on Friday, April 2nd, from 9am - 1pm
  • cancelled lab on Sunday, April 4th.

To Do

  • research on many-to-one network
  • Finish creating pspice design and simulation
  • attempt to do many-to-one network with all three XBees
