Week 13 - April 17, 2017

Attended: Kaeo, Tryston, Michael

  • Started working with the ATmega1284p
    • Tryston did some research and found that the pins of the DIP package and the TQFN package are slightly different
    • Started using the AVR Dragon programmer that Kenny had bought last semester
      • It can be used to program some of the ATmega devices
      • Trying to get it to work with the our ATmega in SPI programming mode
      • Need to burn the bootloader to how we plan to use the ATmega (Voltage at a certain clockspeed)
      • We're thinking of 3.3V at 8MHz, right now but we found that we can use 3.3V at 16MHz if we want to
    • Hooked up the AVR Dragon to work in SPI mode and downloaded the Atmel Studio software
      • Haven't learned how to use it yet
      • This is the first step to having it being programmed onboard - SPI supports onboard programming
  • Met with Raytheon
    • Jodi, Caro, Ann, James, CY + Mystery Civil Masters Student
    • Dr. Kuh and silent Andrew Skyped in
    • Went Over general lab info as well as talked a little bit on how all of our previous members were doing
  • Final Presentation - April 29th
  • 496 Poster Presentation - April 27th at around 12 - 2
  • Alumni - Graduated from UH Manoa. Airborne and Space Radar Systems - Hiring Taffing and talent developmments
