The existing command mode in the firmware doesn't have a timeout. Therefore, it's possible for the firmware to sit in this infinite loop and do nothing. It might be slightly better to have some sort of timeout so that command mode exits after X seconds (like 10 seconds or so) so it returns to the default behavior, which is to send samples back to the coordinator of the network.

XBees have a command mode and implement this feature. So, I thought it would be useful to have this feature enabled for the existing nodes.
