Goals
- develop skills in: programming, hardware design (PCBs and AutoCAD), hardware fabrication (3D printing and soldering), communication, time management, teamwork, and leadership
Introductory Readings
- What is a microgrid?
- A microgrid is a small scale model of an entire electric system.
- In reference to renewable energy sources, why is there concern about the stability of the grid?
- Renewable energy sources are inconsistent as the grid would have to account for days in which there are excess energy generated and days where there are very little energy produced.
