Attended: Kevin, Gordon, Tyler

  • Transmission Test 1
    • Board lasted for 17 hours
    • Battery voltage was last recorded as 3.7V therefore unsure why board stopped transmitting
      • could be due to Ghost voltage or marginal short
      • Could also be due to Gateway crashing
    • After power cycling board, the board powered on and started transmitting
  • Transmission Test 2
    • Board lasted for 56.3 hours
    • Battery voltage was last recorded as 3.0V meaning the battery discharged before ending transmission
    • HOWEVER, once power cycled the board was able to send heartbeat packets
  • Dylan helped create a code for Arduino that would help us monitor if our XBee experienced a ghost voltage
    • This code will record voltages and notify when a voltage is greater than 3.3V
    • Having a voltage greater than 3.3V means that something other than the Voltage regulator is powering the XBee
    • currently we have no way of writing this data to a file
  • Contacted Tyrin about 3D printing the rest of housing
  • Testing board again with all sensors attached, and screwed into the housing
  • Kevin working on Gantt Chart
  • Gordon bringing together all necessary parts to populate another board (getting familiar with all the parts of DragonFruit)
  • There is currently a bizarre lack of problems
  • Deploy board
  • Program board 4 and 5
    • use these boards for testing
  • Complete redesign of new board
    • no parallel voltage planes surrounding charging chip if possible
    • new GPS and RTC components
