Monday - 4/11/16

Got help from the firmware group on Xbee coding(Coding the Xbee is a hassle). Sent out the last finalized board for eagle. Revised the housing for our Weatherboxes ceiling. Still printing our housing base.

Friday - 4/8/16

Made Schema and Transmit.h file. Learned how to review my own board for future references. First housing fail. Started second time printing housing base.

Thursday - 4/7/16

Created our schema and transmit files for our XBees, got help from Team Nova and Ryan on Xbee code.Rewired entire board to fix errors. Started to print housing.

Tuesday - 4/5/16

Edited Pressure sensor code to return pressure in kPa. Finished designing the housing in SolidWorks. Finding a time slot in which to print our housing.

Monday - 4/4/16

Asked for help from Team Asteroid(Nathan) on the Xbee coding. Also learned how to use SolidWorks with Brianne. Started housing.

Thursday - 3/31/16

Finished up what we could on the code as well as the Schematic and Board. Started preparing our presentation for the Critical Design Review(Block Diagrams and algorithms for the code).

Deadline is approaching and so we discussed a list of things that need to be done by the end of this week. We are still working on the code and I am making Final Revisions to the board before I send it out and start on the housing.

Monday - 3/28/16

I don't like how the Eagle Board looks. I am going to make a quick, but well needed revision to it. Kept working on putting our separate codes into a full, unique code.

Thursday - 3/17/16

Finished the pressure sensor with little to no problems. Started on the solar irradiance, asked for help from Team Nova and Kenny. Finished the Eagle Schematic and almost finished the Eagle Board.

Wednesday - 3/16/16

At the same point on the Eagle Schematic. Still having problems with understanding the entire concept of packages, so that I may effectively make parts. Got the temperature sensor to work, got started on the pressure sensor.

Tuesday - 3/15/16

Today we were stuck on the temperature sensor. We built and coded the temperature sensor, but had no progress as the values were negative and far from the values we needed. Made progress on the Eagle Schematic, but had problems with making a couple parts.

Monday - 3/14/16

Got help from Ryan. Today we got our humidity sensor to work!!! After a couple hours of fixing hardware and software problems, we were able to get sufficient readings from the sensor. We also continued to work on our Eagle schematic.

Thursday - 3/10/16

Today we located all the parts needed for our weatherbox and built the test circuits for the temperature/humidity sensor and the temperature sensor.

Monday - 3/7/16

Today we tested our temperature and humidity sensors, we started out schematic on Eagle and talked about how we can improve for the next All Hands Meeting presentation next month.

Thursday - 3/3/16

Today we met as a group and finished up our presentation for this coming Saturday.

Monday - 2/29/16

Today we met up with Dr. Kuh as a team and discussed how our project is going, he told us a bit more about the lab and he got to know us a little better and we got to know him a bit better.

Thursday - 2/25/16

New Sensors onto our Arduino-Breadboard circuit, Ordered x96 parts using the Ron Ho Fund, Emailed Dr.Kuh to setup our Team meeting.

Monday - 2/22/16

We finished up our Arduino tutorial by working with the actual breadboard. We added out link for Github to our website.

Thursday - 2/18/16

We are now learning the about the sensors (Humidity/Temperature, Pressure, Solar Irradiance) that we will put in our Weatherbox.

Thursday - 2/11/16

We asked questions about the Eagle tutorials, finished turning in Eagle Files, got started on the next step in our Gantt Chart,and kept on looking up and learning about modules.

Monday - 2/8/16

Today we added the necessary Eagle libraries to our folders and we also looked at some old designed for weatherboxes.

Thursday - 2/4/16

Today we finished up our Proposal Presentation powerpoint, finished our Gantt Chart and had our mentor, Brandon, check over everything to finalize it all. We also touched up our Arduino tutorial page by finishing up the questions and practiced our speeches for the presentation this coming Saturday.

Monday - 2/1/16

Today we met with our mentor, Brandon for an hour and discussed the different things we need to download(Git, Eagle, etc), talked about our proposal presentation that is coming up, started our outline for our proposal presentation, and set up our repositories.

Thursday - 1/28/16

During today's meeting, we were able to watch a few videos from Github, Arduino and Eagle. We started taking some notes on the tutorials and we also started talking about ideas for the proposal presentation. We set a goal to all contribute to the tutorial pages before Sunday night to ensure that we all participated and learned something from the tutorials.

Monday - 1/25/16

Today we met with our mentor, Brandon for an hour and discussed PCB Designs, talked about our proposal presentation that is coming up, finished our “interests” assignment and answered the introductory questions, and we also learned some new engineering terms.

Thursday - 1/21/16

Our group completed our weekly 3 hours today and met with our mentor, Brandon. We decided on a team name, created a wiki page for our team, got used to DokuWiki syntax, went over general goals and tasks, and ended with going through and answering some of the introduction readings.
