Goals for the semester
We are currently still working on refining our goals for the semester because we are having trouble progressing.
- Testing plans
- Make a manual/checklist (We are planning on using Google Sheets)
- Separate plans for
- Pre-assembled boards (not soldered)
- Post-assembled boards (soldered)
- Power (is the board consuming the right amount of current)
- Software
- Microcontroller (is it programmed)
- Sensors (are they responding)
- Get feedback on how software team is testing their code and integrate with our plans (ambitious goal)
- Create an Apple document for better understanding
- Purpose
- Features
- How to test features
- “Okay” range to perform tests
- Verification board (hardware platform to help test Apple)
- Plug the board in to automate tests
- Runs through sensors
- Temperature checks
- Individual components won't be complicated, but sum of parts will be more complicated
- Our final presentation will be about our document(s) for testing plans
Notes
- Parts orders for September due soon
- We don't need to order anything yet, can just use the same parts as Apple team
- Encouraged to work in parallel with Apple team
- Meet with them for 30 minutes/week
- Ask them questions
- If neither of us know, work on it together
- Obtain schematics from them so we can understand Apple design
