Final Presentation Guidelines

The final presentation will give everyone a general overview of your project for the semester, why you've done it and what you've done. It should provide enough context for anyone who walks in on the day of the final presentation. The final presentation will also be good practice to prepare for your poster presentation - it will help you to describe what you've been doing for the semester.

Date and Time

The proposal presentations will be held on Saturday, December 5, from 8:30 am to 12 pm in Holmes Hall 389. Please respond to the google calendar invite that was sent out, and if you cannot make it, please also email Christie ([email protected]).

Attendees

The final presentation will be open to any other students who wish to attend.

Attire

Please wear business casual attire to this presentation. Men should wear a collared shirt and slacks. Women should wear a dress, or a blouse and skirt or slacks. Please do NOT wear jeans. We will be taking pictures for our website after.

Content

Each team's presentation should include the following:

  1. Goal for your project
  2. Block diagram
  3. How you accomplished your goal
    1. Description of your overall design
    2. Methods/Procedure
    3. Major problems you ran into and how you solved them
    4. Power Budget and BOM
  4. Final status of your project
  5. Any remaining problems
  6. Future improvements

When presenting, please keep the criteria from the following rubric in mind: presentationrubric.pdf. We will give teams feedback based off of this criteria.

  • Each team will have 12 minutes to present with 5 minutes afterwards for questions
  • Presentations should be saved to the Dropbox (SCEL > General > Papers & Presentations > x96 > Fall 2015 Final Presentations) at least 30 minutes before the meeting starts
  • If you made your presentation on GooglePresentations and the formatting is altered when downloaded, please save a pdf copy of the presentation in the Dropbox and share the presentation with Christie ([email protected])
  • Files should be saved as < Your team name >_PDR_Presentation.pptx.
    • For example, the Dragonfruit design team will name their presentation as “Dragonfruit_PDR_Presenation.pptx”.
