  • Board schematic
    • Power for the board
      • Solar charging chip and solar panel
    • Debugging LEDs
    • Uploading fix
  • Bread board problems
    • Xbee was no longer getting 3.3V
    • Added a resistor to Vin of the xbee
    • Now getting around 3.3V

Attended:Isaiah, Kayla, Rebecca

Actions:

  • Replaced both capacitors (both to 10 μF)
  • Changed resistor added last meeting from 1 kΩ to 10 kΩ to receive steady voltage of 3.33 V.
  • Started from square one, and ran through a bunch of different test
    • Tested by hooking up bare arduino to a power supply. Both 5V into the 3.3V reg and just 3.3V to the whole circuit
    • Made sure xbees were configured correctly
    • Sent simple test packets between the 3 xbees using XCTU
    • Tested the relay using an arduino instead of our bare arduino
    • After seeing the relay work using 2 arduinos, we went back to using one arduino to send and the bare arduino to relay

Current Concerns:

  • Found that 1 and 3 cannot communicate with each other
  • Encountered two defective arduino boards
  • Must add additional LEDs for debugging
  • Find solution to rid of hardcoding address

Outcomes:

  • Relay is now working properly
  • Not quite sure what fixed it
    • Possible reasons:
      • Xbee wasn't getting enough power
      • Somewhere in the code got messed up
