Updates

  • Tried to re-burn the bootloader of our atmega to run using its internal 8 Mhz clock
    • unable to burn it
  • Tried using 2 3.3V regulators
    • one to power the xbee and the other for the atmega
    • xbee needs at least 3.3V to run (nothing below that)

Updates

  • The Xbee is able to receive packets when getting only 2.8V
    • Only works when the atmega is receiving 5V, but not 3.3V
    • Only works with the 16MHz clock and not the 8MHz clock
  • Re-burned the bootloader with “Arduino Pro or Pro mini” “ATmega328 (3.3V, 8MGz)”
    • Was able to program the atmega using an external 8MHz clock
    • Was able to receive one packet with no errors. Got errors for any packet after that
    • Now for some reason unable to program or receive packet
