Week 9
Meeting Minutes March 14, 2017
attended: Isaiah, Kayla
Updates
- Tried to re-burn the bootloader of our atmega to run using its internal 8 Mhz clock
- unable to burn it
- Tried using 2 3.3V regulators
- one to power the xbee and the other for the atmega
- xbee needs at least 3.3V to run (nothing below that)
Meeting Minutes March 16, 2017
attended: Isaiah, Kayla
Updates
- The Xbee is able to receive packets when getting only 2.8V
- Only works when the atmega is receiving 5V, but not 3.3V
- Only works with the 16MHz clock and not the 8MHz clock
- Re-burned the bootloader with “Arduino Pro or Pro mini” “ATmega328 (3.3V, 8MGz)”
- Was able to program the atmega using an external 8MHz clock
- Was able to receive one packet with no errors. Got errors for any packet after that
- Now for some reason unable to program or receive packet
